Hi all. First post here. Just upgraded from a 04 KTM 525 EXC to a 10 FE 570. Bike is very clean and I`m really happy with it. Rode it for the first time yesterday and as expected, it rips.
One thing I noticed though was a vibration through the pegs when standing. It's not a huge vibration, more like a bit of a tingle. Very similar to a 300 2 stroke.
Is this normal? If not, what could it be? Loose engine mounts maybe?
My old 525 had no vibration at all.
It's not worrying me if it's normal, I`m sure I`ll get used to it in time.
Bike has 85 hours on it.
cheers
Sharpy

I went from a 09 530 exc to a 12 fe 570 & I honestly haven't felt any more or less VIBABRATION, this does not categorically mean it doesn't vibe more just that I've not felt it, next ride i will take particular notice, sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Does not sound normal. Check all of your fasteners.

I went from the exact same KTM to the 2011 FE570S and there is absolutely no vibration issue? Probably something loose or metal contacting metal somewhere.

Checked all the engine mounts and everything else and everything is tight. Funny thing is I hardly even notice the vibration now after a few rides. It`s still there when I think about it but doesn`t worry me. I reckon I was just suffering from 'new bike syndrome' where I was noticing every little thing. Jumped on my wifes 450 exc the other day and it has slight vibration through the pegs as well.
The bottom line is this - this is the best bike I have ever ridden in over 35 years of riding bikes. I can`t believe the hill climbing torque and magic mid range. The suspension just glides over stuff that my old EXC would have balked at. Riding this thing is almost like cheating.
Love riding it, hate working on it. Everything is so tight and cramped under the seat. Just getting to the battery terminals is a major exercise. I must be getting better though because it only took me 35 minutes to get the tank off the other day to give the bike a nice detailing clean.

put a rekluse clutch on and it becomes positively criminal...

Taffy pointed this out to me in another thread, check your chain tension. The shop had adjusted mine last time I got tyres (only a month or 2) and it was way too loose. Tightened it to spec and it's now fine.

OK, cool, I`ll check it out and see if it makes a difference.
