Greetings Bergers,
I'm new to bergs and just bought a 2012 570. Comming of a 99 XR600 I feel like I'm a pro on this berg.
It only had 4 hrs and 260km on it, all done on the road and not a scratch on it.
Can you help me with my suspension settings? Ha ha just joking im starting to dial it in but I've got 123 mm rider sag. It has been resprung front and rear by the previous owner for a 110kg rider. Let's just say I'm about 5 kgs over that. I'm loosing weight so I reckon the rider sag will sort itself out. All the other sag measurements are spot on.
Got an acrapovic slip on and have just fitted the map switch and set it to aggressive. Have not been on it since fitting the switch. It came with 13 52 gearing which I've had over 150 kPh but it's revving it's **** off. I've got a 14 to put on the front as I've got a cross country race this weekend that has a couple of 1 km full noise fenceline sections and I want to sit on 160+ without sitting on the limiter.
Last ride I had a new set of S12 michelins on her and basically 2 turns toward firm on most settings and it went great. Those CC forks are like silk. A bit more plying and a Scotts damper and I reckon I'm set.
I'm defiantly not getting the range some of you are as my second last ride I did 73km and noticed the fuel light on when I got back and there was FA left in the tank. I presume the light is set to the 1.8lt level on mine. there was a bit of deep sand but I guess it was too much WOT it is addictive power and torque.
Anyway that's enough crapping on, but I do feel like a kid on Christmas day.
I have Picked up plenty of tips already from you blokes on here, so thanks and I'll speak later.
P.S. Any Perth berg owners wanna go for a ride give me a hoy.
