plus the fact that it been the most demanding bike off the track as well as on the track.
some one got a good deal when he bought that bike! well till something else goes wrong?
got my self a 2smoke,

want to spend my time riding not repairing.
bought a yam yz250 /06 for a very very good price! as new condition.
been out on it today on a quagmire of a track. it was like riding a turbo charged cloud, light responsive forgiving LOVLEY!
OK the clutch was rubbish compere to the berg ,and yes u do ave to make them sing, but wot a lovley tune it is.
I have to say I will keep checking UHE cos its got some good guys on ere and got to keep my eye on TAFFYS racing reports, might turn up at a couple of enduros .Any way best go and mix some oil in im fuell

Hi there lplates,

You're not the first, and you surely won't be the last person to find that 4 strokes in general, and Husabergs in particular are not their cup of tea. Some guys are just happy with 2 strokes, and some guys get lemon Bergs. Those guys usually say really mean things when they leave :)

You're always welcome here, regardless of what you ride, and I hope your bike gives you a crap load of hours worth of enjoyment with no repairs being necessary :D

thanks,
json

thanks json, i blame my self more than the bike i should ave found this site before i bought the bike?
then my choice would have been ruled by my head instead of my pocket.
saved a few more Penny's got my self a 04/smaller model>got to admit 4strokes r a kinder power in general but not so the 501> its there and there with a BANG ! not really suitable for my type of riding like i said gave it 10 months of practice, and not much improvement a a couple of heavy offs.
dont need any broken bones at my age so time to move on . might get a 04 > 450 if one turns up cheep enough . till then
LOVE IS
a right hand kickstart

My 470 is the same way. Crack the throttle and it wants to go. Probably not as bad as a 501 though. The 450 is a different story. Very smooth off the bottom but then picks up nicely. Making the transition from a 470 to the 450 I was slightly disappointed for awhile. But I have come to appreciate its trail manners and feel thats its the perfect desert/off road bike for me. It really grows on you.
