Fuel sensor help!

Hi guys

Just retro fitting my low fuel sensor kit to my 09 fe570 does the sensor have an o ring that goes in the recess on the sensor to seal against the tank or some kind of gasket. Mine didnt come with one and wasnt sure if it needs one before cutting an installing into the tank ?

Yes, it uses an o-ring. I just received my replacement sensor yesterday and there was an o-ring in the box.
 
bugger, mine is missing the o ring.. is it just a standard circular o ring that is chemical resistant ?

I would assume so. I looks like a normal o-ring to my non expert eyes.
