Hi People, I pulled apart the fuel tank and need to disconnect the fuel pump from the hose's it's connected to, I have disconnected the positive and neg wires to the pump, but the hoses look like the are heat shrunk around the barbs on the fuel pump.
I tried to pull them off but dont want to break anything, and I also noticed their are no hose claps connected to it either, is that right? fuel under preassure and no clamps?
If anyone can point me in the right direction to removing it would be great

Its ok people,
Just discovered if I pull the fuel level sensor out and the pull the rest of the fuel line through I found the grey quick disconnect that you pull apart  .
Here i was thinking the lines had to be pulled off the pump

While you're in there replace your pump and solder the wires to the new one... or you'll be back.

Thanks I'll be doing that, the replacement that came from suttos said it has a new fuel filter attached to the new pump as well.
Is their anything I should look for should the top of the new pump be brown in colour?

Maybe others can answer if the new one has a brown top, I don't know. I'm told the new Husaberg pump is now made in Italy. Maybe it'll say on it. I just put a new pump in my 2009 from CA Cycleworks. It now has a barbed output port (earlier versions didn't). It's made in China, but supposedly improved.

ok got the new pump today, yes it has a brown top on the pump,
funny the plastic packaging it came in says made in Italy, although when you pull the pump apart (the black casing around the bottom) it still says made in china?? I hope this is still going to work better than the last one :?
