Hey all.
Bit of a longshot but......
An 02 FS650 has turned up in my workshop in backwater New Zealand (backwater the world) from the mother country (England) and i am trying to find some background on it before i get toooo involved.

The bike would havd been sold in the last few months.

What i know so far is its an 02 FS650. New delorto carb. Doma exhaust. 02 N-style graphics. Starter removed (plug installed). Lights indicators etc in a box. Rego plate SV53CTE.

Does this description ring a bell with anybody?
Any info about its history would be much appreciated.

Yours hopefully.... Darryl.

P.S. this all come about from an aquintance (not a mate) wanting me to show him how to start a Husaberg..... which i did but was not as easy as my 04 model (hence its now in my workshop).

TE was Lancashire so that will be DCR bike originally and typical that it is a 2002 model (came out in Oct/Nov 2001) but on a 53 plate which means registered after August 1st 2003 some 23 months after the launch.

can't help you myself after that. some of us emigrate down your way and then flog them when we get there.....

regards

taffy

:) Bergbro
If you think that NZ is a backwater you need to get out more.
Even if live in Invercargill, the "official end of the trail" you are still better off than most of this planet.
You must be the only KIWI that has not been on tour.:p:p
There is nothing on a 02 Berg that a FCR and a rewound sparks stator wont fix.:)

Thanks Taffy and Nsman.

Hey Nsman...... you need to get out more to my neck of the woods bro.
Dont worry about Invercargil (it may be way south but is still civilised) but try west coast of Northland.

Haha. Cheers blokes.

Cheers Greg.
Top work. Not sure if previous registration will help with local registration but nice to know it was roadworthy back in feb.
