fs570 oil leak

i have a fs570, ownership is proving to be fraught with issues, there is a metal pipe that connects the lower oil reservoir with the upper, has anyone had issues with oil leaking from the top banjo bolt at the copper washer?
 
In case you are unaware, removing this bolt to clean the oil screen is part of the oil change routine. Try removing the bolt and cleaning/inspecting the washers before re-tightening. The owner's and service manuals makes no reference to routine replacement of the washers and they are not included in the oil filter service kit so I guess they are regarded as suitable for repeated use. The torque setting for the bolt is quite low at 11.1ft/lb or 15nm.
 
it was leaking before and since the oil change where all those parts where cleaned its still leaking, should i pick up a new copper washer?

You can Anneal (soften) copper and aluminum washers and use them again. Don’t reuse them too many times as they get thinner each time.

When you get it to the right temp as described in link you can also submerge it in water to cool it quickly and this will make them even softer (unlike steel which would go harder).

Just a not on Annealing aluminum. Aluminum will naturally go hard again over time at room temp (some grades very quickly), so it’s better to do this just before you want to use them for best result.

Cooper will stay soft until it’s work hardened (used).
 
Copper washers on any application should not be reused. That being said, I reuse them quite frequently. You are taking a chance reusing them though. Basically it is "reuse at your own risk". You might check the metal line for hairline cracks. I have not heard of this happening on Bergs, but I have seen it on other applications.
 
I'd clean that above area and then let the oil leak show itself. Make sure it is not from the oil breather tube coming into your airbox. This shouldn't leak back down to your engine area, but maybe there's a hole or crack in the line/junction. Oil gets into the airbox due to overfill of oil, and or constant high rpm runs.
