Hey all, got my 570 a few months ago and I'm loving it, my biggest complaint is the gearing. I've had it up to 110 downhill and it still had what felt to be about 2k rpm to go, ridiculous! What does the stock gearing aim for?!
I'm looking for some good street gearing, I almost never use 6th, even on the freeway at nearly illegal speeds its feels like its chugging.

So whats the stock gearing? and what do you prefer? I'm aiming for about 105mph top end for the mid sized tracks around my area and I figure that the gearing may translate well for both street and track.

I went with a rear sprocket 10 sizes bigger than stock.

Cant remember exactly what size, but it still does 120mph, but it revs out on the top gear instead.

Much better for small tracks. For bigger tracks with long straights I guess 5 up would be good?

I have 4 up in the rear over stock. Good for commuting and on fast high speed roads. 6th gear is usable at 60mph.

Gonna try -1 in the front to make it more track suited along with more power when I get the motor done.

14-45 or 14-48 i use on the track. 14-45 is good upto 200 kph on the speedo (after that i can't read the speedo)

Thanks for the help guys, I went ahead and ordered a 44 tooth rear. I'm not sure what size the front is though. I think this will be good but judging from your guys' reponses I may need to go a bit bigger, I'll try this out and see how it goes.

Im running a 44 after running stock gearing for ages. You will love it

i would like to start commuting on my 2010 fs570 most of the time i am in a 60kph zone, any idea what sprocket set up i should go? atm with stock set up its not to good - at 60kph revs a bit high (using to much fuel) in 4th but 5th gear is stretch at 60kph.
