Hi guys i'm new to the whole superermoto thing and been keepign my eye on the bergs for about a year now since i got rid of the 636R. I'm getting a new/newused bike this summer but i bought a house about 45 km (one way) from work 30 min but i'm driving 120-140km/h as it's 90% highway. Are these rigs good for the highway? I understand it's not a 636 so 200+km/h is out of the question and vertually impossible where i live anyhow, but if you berg guru's could help a fella out with some info on how much it would like me if i were to put it through my daily trip in to work and back as well as maintenance with a commute like this that would help me make my call on what bike or even if i should be getting a supermoto. They just look so fun i can't keep my eyes off them I'm not a big cruiser fan unless it's a victory but then your looking at big $$$'s too.
Anyway thanks guys

Hey Prick,
(ya know that just makes me laugh typing it) in my opinion the 550 wouldn't be great medium to long term for daily road jaunts. The oil changes and maintenance would become painful, you'd get the pox with it and get slack on the work and stop doing it....then your 550 would melt.

Having said that, if you could afford to have one for periodic road blasts and not a commuter...then stand well back kids, because the 550 will put a hard-on on a jellyfish and teach you that Husabergs were meant to be ridden on the back wheel only...I've got an Fe 550 and it's the gear, I love it to death

Cheers
