I moved the forks up in the triple clamp and dropped some front tire pressure, this helped some. Front tire choice and suspension setup will also be important factors.

get over the front of the bike more. This bike rides even better when you're over the bars.

I also went down a spring rate on the forks and up one on the shock, helped alot.

Or the easiest way is to move your handlebars to the forward clamp position.

Hi, on flat turns the front runs very wide . Do i dropped it down a bit in the triple clamps ?

Play around a bit. Make sure you sag is correct first. Then try lowering you forks a little, it's free to try. Also move your rear wheel as far back as you can in the swingarm.

I would say don't mess with you bar position. The further forward they are (away from the headtube) the more of a swinging motion steering becomes, it is not optimal.

How flat are the corners? No rut? Muddy, dry?

Make sure the bike is sprung for your weight and then set it up per the owners manual. Make sure the sag is right on. Set all the clickers per the manual and start there. Make sure you are running the right length chain, wheel base to short or long will give you problems as well. I like the front air pressure 12-14 psi.
I had that problem, especially when standing over the bars. The front end would not bite and just go away. Even with a little bit of rut or berm, it would just blow right through them. Weight towards the back and it was fine.

Washing front has to do with front end being too high as you start to corner.

I would check in this order.

0. Tire pressure too high
1. rear end too low (sag)
2. front too high (fork sag)
3. compression too high
4. rebound too fast

I like to make only 1 change at a time, so as you'll know what did what, if anything.

check your RACE sag. I bet from wheels free to you sat on it in your kit - she sags more than the recommended 100mm. this will be the problem?

how much do you weigh?

Taffy

I way about 85kg but with all the kit its a lot more. I have a heavier rear spring fitted and i checked the sag as per the manual and it is ok. I checked it fully kitted.
Just had my forks serviced and this helped a lot. Oil was like mud !!
Another thing is do you know where i can get a heat shield for the exhaust ? I keep burning my trousers!!
Many thanks

you seem to be answering your own questions?

as you're clairvoyent you will already have .50 front springs in and on the rear you'll already have at least a 92kg spring.

now looking into the future.........what do you suggest?

I found the answer was to sort the anti-squat out, took hours but I'm not prepared to give that info away. just being straight with you.

anyway - good luck

regarding the cornering... after you are happy with the fork height wind the HSC adjuster nut in 1/4 a turn at a time till the back end holds up nicer under power, that's what suspension professionals do worldwide to control the rear height independent of spring prelaod

there are quite a few PDF tuning guides explaining bike setup ... google search; suspension tuning HSC dynamic ride height

Hey Bushie,

try some more Pilzsaft!

the red area looks to me like where the frame can get scratched up a bit and you might want some protection - i guess ... or yeah there is some kind of plastic cover there as stock iirc
