Hey guys, My front fender rubs my frame and has some scratches on the fender and has rubbed some paint off of my frame. Is this typical? Any good fixes for it?

The 4 spacer bushes between the bolts and the front fender must be assembled so the rear 2 are installed from the top down and the front 2 from the bottom up...refer to the parts manual in the downloads for the correct assembly.
All the spacers installed from the bottom up(as in most Japanese bikes)will allow the fender to make slight contact with the frame downtube.

Yea I was wondering if there was anything I can do to eliminate that contact

Yes add a washer between the clamps and the front fender at the two bolts at the back. :)

I cut the lower bit of the fender off first, it was getting jammed between the tyre and the frame, washers did'nt help

then later moved the steering head 50mm forward

Hey guys just an update. I went to true value and bought 4 galvanized washers ($.12ea) and 4 rubber fender washers ($.35ea) sandwiched 2 metal washers in between the rubber ones and put them in between the fender and lower triple clamp on the rear set of fender screws. now I have approximately 3/8" clearance between the fender and frame. Thanks a lot for the help it looks like it was made for it PERFECT
