Hi Iv just put a new set of Gold speed street sport ultra tyres on my 650 supermoto Berg. Now the front end weaves at about 60 mph and above iv tried different tyre pressures but it doesn't help. Don`t think Iv done anything wrong when putting the wheel back in.Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Richard.

Are the tires directional Might be on backwards ? Is the road your on have rain grooves ? PSI should around 25PSI cold. marking on the tires are MAX PSI.

Hi thanks for your reply .Yes it is directional and its the right way Iv tryed pressures from 24 psi to 34 psi and it doesn't alter the weaving and there`s no rain grooves on the road.Im beginning to think it might be duff tyre.Cheers Richard.

Just to throw things out there -

Wheel is balanced?

Axle set correctly by doing axle bolt up a bit, having pinch bolts loose-ish, and pushing up and down on the forks to set them? And then tightening?

As a leftfield experiment - Try rebound damping out just a couple of clicks? Just to see?

That said, a DRZ owner on TT tried basically everything when he had a weaving front ... replacing the tire fixed it :)

Thanks for you reply. The wheel is balanced but I just tighten spindle then pinch bolts,So Ill take wheel out and start again and do as you mentioned thanks Ill also try rebound damping out just a couple of click. Thanks again.Richard.:thumbleft:

Just for the hell of it try spin the tires to just check if both tires true like you would the rim

sorry!, I meant rebound IN :) a tad stiffer! that's kinda almost a too random suggestion but why not :)

can you tell me the year of your bike?

can you tell me the triple clamp offset? it is coded into the part number stamped on the top clamp - last three numbers?

can you tell me the rim widths? do you have 3.5" front and 4.25" rear or 5" rear?

regards

Taffy

What taffy is asking is to find what your angle is of the front end. So you make your rear shock as soft as possible is would change the angle of the front end to more like a chopper makes it more stable. Easiest thing to find out if that's your Problem. And or raise front end same thing
