Hi guys
can anyone tell me if there is any difference between the frames on different capacity models or between enduro's and sm's?

I've been offered an FE470 but I want to convert it for the road, would I be better off just looking out for an FS? The FE470 is going cheap!

Also I'm thinking about using the 750cc kit from JBS Racing but have been told the frame on a 470 is smaller giving me less room for the long stroke barrel, is this true?

Does anyone have experience/ opinions on these kits, 78hp sounds like fun to me!

Apologies for the Spanish Inquisition, I'm on the bottom rung of a very long husaberg ladder :?

Hey Chiky -

The frame on the 470 is fine, but you cannot install the 750 kit in the shortend case of the 470...

You'll need a 550 or larger.

Thanks Powercell, if I end up buying a 470 I was going to use 650 casings as the internals are apparantly all the same

hey chicken!

the frame stayed the same from '01 to '03 inclusive. in '04 they pulled the front wheel back toward the engine by dropping the rake by i believe 1.5 degrees.

there is a photo from eric in 'the doc' that amply shows the difference.

i've heard of no lengthening of the SA to accompany this or any other mod.

so the '04 frame will handle quickly. but regards WITHIN the engine sizes etc - well we believe that there was just the one frame.

regards

Taffy

Think I'm gonna just look out for the right FS650, by the time Ive bought all the right bits for an FE I'll prob be worse off!

There's loads on ebay these days, but no one seems to be buying them!
