Frame numbers for an 08 FE550

Hi Guys, I have been offered an 08 FE550 but the frame numbers seem odd, they are nowhere like my 06 FE550. (They seem uneven and possibly hand punched)
Can someone tell me what the numbers for an 08 FE550 should read like?
The price is right and it has only done 20 hours, but it just doesnt seem right.
I am worried it may be stolen or in fact not an 08.
Can someone help please?

The 08 models I have seen have two sets of numbers,the factory set and the format you are accustmed to are on the r.h. side of the steering head under the info tag.The other set,no dougt added on when it arrives in NA so it can be identified as a off road only bike, is on a metal tag on the L.H side of the steering head (vertical).

frame numbers

Hi Nsman, thanks for the reply, the bike has neither of the two tags, and only a set of numbers.
The bike is supposedly from South Africa.
I am in New Zealand, I really wanted to know what numbers signify year etc and in fact if the numbers are genuine.
If they are not I will be contacting the Police, as I do not condone theft.(assuming that is the case)
I really just wanted to get my facts straight.
And if the numbers do stack up I will purchase the bike.
The local bike shop does not know what they should be and does not stock Husaberg, only KTM and Yamaha.- Not particularly helpful in this case.
Anyone own an 08? and can post a pic of what it should look like? then I can give this to the Police also if necessary.
Your help is greatly appreciated!

Suspect Numbers

Hi All, I tried to take a photo of the steering head to post but the guy got all nasty, so I have given it a big miss!
Must be stolen.
Anyone missing an 08 FE550 in S.A.?
