Well I have completed 4 of the 4 races I have entered on the 04 550.
went 750 miles on the stock tires.
results:
4th in class 62 OA
3rd in class 49 OA
2nd in class 43 OA
4th in class 42 OA (unofficially)

The races have consisted of desert, mountains, canyons, whoops, snow dust and rocks. Yesterdays race was just rocks and dust (silty, powdery unforgiving dust) and rocks gardens from the pits of hell.
The Husaberg Rocks.. :D

Excellent results!
Thanks for posting and keep up the good work!

Thanks Guys!
The next race in two weeks is literally in my back yard. I'm expecting tons of whoops, which I happen to love. I expect I'll fair pretty well as the Berg eats whoops like I go thru a half gallon container of mint chocolate chip ice cream.. Slightly melted of course..

Tomorrows the last race for a while (at least for this spring series). Then it picks up again in September. Looks like it will be unbelievable conditions. It's been raining off and on for the last two days.. It will be wet whooped out sand. 80 miles

Both the boys 400, and my 550 are ready to roll..
Valves, oil, tires, etc..
I plan on pushing to tomorrow so wish us both luck..
Thanks,
John

Well it looks like I unofficially took a second in class. Chris didn't fininsh the second loop on account of exaustion. Both bike are working stellar.
Thanks longjump!

Congratulations!!

I envy you, some day when my boys get old enough we will attempt to do the same!

I think Chris had a bad crash (wind knocked out of him and a shot to the groin in the middle of no where) and ended up in a tree or something.
Hopefully he'll continue to race with me. As I mentioned before, we have a break in our race season. So, hopefully I will be able to build his confidence/strength again over the break.
I have an 8 year old too. He's kind of between bikes right now. He need an XR80 or something.
If your boy gets excited about it. Be ready for continual reminders of newer bikes and wanting to go with you everywhere.
:D :D
