Hello, fellow Berg freaks. Doctorcorey here. Well, I just got my 91 501 back together. It felt good to have my favorite horse back under my butt! Anyhow, I'm due to service the forks now, and I've either lost or forgotten the specs for the fork oil type and level. I mainly use my bike for cross-country and a little MX. Also, I'm running the motor from my 96 FE600 on this bike. I'm using Motul 0W50 synthetic oil for the first time, and it seems to improve the cold start and warmup, as well as helps alleviate a little clutch drag. I'd appreciate any help on the fork specs, and I invite any opinions on the motor oil type. Thanks. Oh yeah, I'm also looking for some original graphics for my 91.

If you cant find the fork oil specs, simply measure the amount you remove from them and refill accordingly. As for the motor oil, it appears that you found a good one

If you can't find the exact specs, 5w at 120 mm will get you started and is likely pretty close. Plenty of info and discussion on engine oil here. I'm using Delo 400 as are many others
