Where will it be guys? I'm happy to go anywhere, although crossing the Nullabor might be a bit far. Drove to Cairns once, 3300km, in 2 days to ride Cape York though, so I'm keen wherever.

Steve

C'mon folks, there are more votes hiding out there. We need to to get a final location so preparations can begin.

Looks like Louee & the Sunny corner are going to be the winners.

I think as long as we can all get on the piss together somewhere it doesnt really matter where it is held. Louee got a bit boring for some of the guys after the first day so if Cafey & some of the other crew could arrange some loops that were in a 100km vicinity, & have a different one each day, it might spice it up a bit. Anyone that's not licensed can decide if they want to sneak in the group.

Everyone's backyard is the best riding place but the reality is Louee/Bathurst is about the most central location for everyone involved. It also provides the best low cost accomodation that we can all stay in one place.

Just my $2 worth. :)

Your'e right Wildman,

Sunny corner sounds great, but it is a hell of a long haul from KI, either way, I'd be making a trip, I think a gathering like this is too good to be missed.

Azza.

it's clear that someone needs to make a decision. wanna see one made? go look at the second force ride! ossamann mike simply started a thread and said "so it's moab. right?".

regards

Taffy

Thanks for the input Taffy. When I was trying to get last years together with Steve & Ozrider, the biggest challenge was to get someone to say "yes" to any bloody thing so lets make a decision.

Lets make Cafey in charge of the whole thing  cause he came up with the idea !! Just kidding, but if 3 individuals can put their hands up for leading a day ride away from &/or back to Louee using the surrounding area's the event is practically organised. Good oportunity to bring the girlfriend/missus so they can recon the vehicles back to base camp or refueling something. Last year we got about 22 peeps to the ride & most were travelling without partners. The Shearers quarters hold 40 so it wouldn't be hard to book the whole thing now & start arranging the rides around the accom that is booked cause we got to start somewhere. Dont book any Louee park rides unless you want to go for a ride but maybe Steve & Cafey can pass on some of their suspension secrets whilst we use the park to 'test n tune' our bikes.

Just another couple $$ worth, I'm in no matter where it is.

OK executive decision !!! Louee it is. Hope that is OK with most people ???
It would be good if we can start the ride in Bathurst and have a great ride to end up at Louee. I can guarantee you will be begging for a beer by the time we get to Louee. Non riders or riders who wish to go straight to Louee and ride the first day there could transport vehicles from Bathurst to Louee. Unfortunately Louee is approx 30km from any other riding so a transport section is required to get to other riding. We can work that out later.
How's this sounding so far?

Cheers
Garry.

Ah at last, a decision has been made. I have been a bit pre occupied getting ready for the Safari so I have stayed on the sideline this time.
All you have to do now is put up with a few wingers I guess that it wont suit, but hey everyone has had plenty of time.

Mothers day is in May so we dont want to make it that weekend. Apart from that, I think we need to ring Louee & find out what weekend they have the Shearers quarters free. It's so well setup for everyone to stay there & we can be as noisy as we like. It has fridges, microwaves& full kitchen facilities available. Not only that it's $25 per night for 2 beds & thats cheap !! We need to book asap so we can get the whole shearers quarters. Count me in for a $200 up front donation for the deposit to hold it for us. We need to pay about $800 to book it for all 40 places if we want it for ourselves.

We really need to get a few things sorted out straight away like accom so everything else can be arranged around it. Voice it now & voice it loud.

Cheers,

Wal

I can smell a plan formulating!! I should be right for whenever as well Bathurst/Louee sounds good to me. I guess i will have to register the bike and get the old license again, better get my backside into gear.
Did you end up getting a new bike Wal?

Yeh I did Pids, sorta !! It's still on the other side of the country awaiting the sale of my berg before I can get it shipped. I'm in distress as I cant ride my old one as its for sale & I cant ride my new one until it gets here...Hope to see you there next time though & with any luck we get to go for a longer ride.

I've emailed Louee Park with vacancqueries for May/June next year to book the entire Shearers quarters. Will post results here when I hear back.

Still, I get to ride whenever I want to.... without the whinging

Yeah... Im allways in the sh*** too, but I've been having enough trouble keeping my head above.. well you know.

Your most welcome EvanJack. You won't have far to come to the Force Ride next year compared to some. You are more than welcome to come to any of our DSMRA rides here at Bathurst as well. I will be doing a recon ride for the Force ride at some stage so I will keep you posted. There are so many options of trails around here, but i think we will combine a couple of our well knows rides to end up over at Louee.
So there you go, I'm from Bathurst.

Cheers :D
