Here we go! Please cast your vote and then post as well. In your post please explain why you chose your destination(s) and what you can bring to the table (organizational skills, knowledge of the area, ect. or just yourself ready for a good time).
Both the current places have pro's and con's.

Moab pro's. Moab is a really cheap date if you can get there.Accommodations were very cheap. The campground handled the group very well and there is a motel in very close proximity for those wanting something a little less spartan. Very off road friendly. They cater to off road tourism and know where there bread is buttered. Views and terrain are truly unique. This place should be on any off roaders bucket list. The times spent around the campfires made it all really worth while.
Moab con's- 7 hours plus away from any major airport. No dealer support. Not enough experienced guides was a small problem.

Crested Butte pro's. CB/Gunnison has some of the best trails on earth. The group has only touched a fraction of the trails available in 2 visits. Dealer and guide support is unparalleled. I can not believe that we have not done the Alpine loop as a group. As a duel sport ride this has to be in the top of the bucket list. 135 miles of awesome. Harmels had a variety of offerings to entertain family and significant others if they choses to make the trip.
Crested Buttes con's. This is an "E" ticket ride (pricey but worth it). We have not found a place yet to accommodate everyone (perhaps Harmels could be persuaded to allow RV parking next time). 4-5 hours from the nearest large airport, but flights can be made into Gunnison.

More likely I'm not going to make it to this one but can remember the gunnison gang saying they'd like a holiday in Moab for the next get together as dragging us around their area was hard work ,
so that's where my vote went

I voted for Moab. I have now been there 9 times. I cant seem to ever get enough.
I know the area well, and, could also muster up a local friend who could guide us out at Factory Butte/Temple Mountain.

The date is of importance. In my opinion, anything past May is just too hot. So, if F5 is in mid summer, then I would change my vote to Colorado!

In for Moab april or may
i can offfer chilli and someone to laugh at when I crash..... alot.

As I said in the other F5 post, it usually takes about 6 months to put one of these rides together. April would probably be the last month to want to ride Moab with mid October through very early November being the best weather wise. It's very unlikely we could book the campground in April at this short of notice and May would be to hot for most.

thanks for stepping up berger
its needed and appreciated

i chose the last option

1-moab cant really happen by april
2-got enough hot weather in vegas so looking for cool temps
3-gunnison is cooler in the summer

so i guess its really moab late in the year or gunnison earlier

im down for whatever

I won't vote as I'm not sure what I'd be doing.

it is real shame we didn't start on this in 'the fall' and then you'd have had your options all open to ya still!

to get all those cabins again I'd do the poll (oh you are? good!), agree on moab (I'm Biased!), book all the old cabins first up (yep - the lot!), and then give yourself 12 months to today to get everyone ready! and then after you've all agreed to moab 2014 you can get back 'on message' by going straight back there again in march 2015!

regards

not to many people are sure of much but you should if you can swing it.

i think it will work out fine. the rides usually occur later in the year anyhow

^^^+1,000,000 taking over and being all in one site is a big part of it.

i think you should have used the sarcastic font. it maybe you are trying out some witty humor,
its hard to tell in written words and your are always so level headed and rational that its hard to imagine you any other way.

i hope you do make it. it would be great to ride and hang out again. according to the 'experts' they say i may not be around that much longer. i can provide transportation to and from moab from las vegas. im probably bringing a keg too.

cheers my brother from another mother

^^^^^^yes
only late in the year is feasible.
lets pick a date and work towards it.
booking the cabins is a big part of it so lets see who's going
i see a few have chimed in
if more do, that would be cool but i think its the quality not quantity that matters
last force ride there were some new faces that were really good people

If you could get all the tuts's together you could have your own Force Ride

Has this ride been stuff canned or is something still brewing?

Runways bore me and so do tires. Real bush pilots work hard, but as pilots do not like to sweat it makes it hard to look good and for the sunglasses to stay perfectly mounted on your nose so we gravitate to colder climates and problem solved.
