Bobzilla, Taffy and the rest of you guys...................

Does this work?

Force Ride 2

Location: Moab, Utah
Date: March 8th - 11th, 2007

Mark your calendars.

This allows Taffy and hopefully Fryguy to make travel plans if they decide to come and for everyone else to start making plans for.

Mike

That works for me barring any unforseen catastrophes.
1) I can take some organizational responsibilities.
2) If someone wants to fly into Phoenix, let me know.
3) I may have an extra bike or 2, as always the stable is influx. I should loose a KTM this week and gain another Berg. The master plan is to be down to 2 bikes by then.
4) Do we want to be ready to ride Thursday or Friday?
5) I take it Slickrock Campground will be our destination.

"Let's get er done"

Excellent!
My calendar is marked.
I too may have an extra bike. ( we'll need more)
I will also volunteer for extra duties as needed.
AND anyone flying into Las Vegas will get a ride to Moab. Let me know.

Slick Rock Campground is good.
I, for one, will most likely get there thursday.

Slickrock works for me.

Friday sounds like a plan.

Taffy, if you want to fly into Sacramento International Airport, I can pick up. Your welcome to stay at my house. It is a 14 hr drive to Moab from where I live if that matters.

Don't you just like it when a plan comes together.

Mike

Moab sounds good to me. I'd love to ride in a totally different place for a change. Although if Fryguy took 22 hours to get there then thats 26 hours for me. I'm not too concerned where it is, as if it's in the States it'll be a headache for me anyway. But I'll try to be there. Sounds like too much fun to pass up.

fill the truck up sentinal and never let the drivers seat go cold is the fryberger answer!!!!

go to the force ride photo gallery and drool over it.

let's make sure that we outnumber the foriegn bikes this time!

i remember being stood there with someone and they said with real pride "it's a husaberg rally, we ride husabergs" and with that i looked around and out of 5 only 2 were huseys

if someone could book the accomodation block that would be great. that's all we have to worry about methinks!!!!

regards

Taffy

Thank god we got that crap settled now I can start to plan and gather goodies for around the campfire. Reno is also a International airport and we can hook you up with transport and a ride to Moab you will remember

OOOHHH YEAH BBBBBAAAAABBBBBYYYYYY

OSSAMAN THANK YOU for having the ba**s to set a date and place
you da man

If you cant make the date

TOO BAD well miss you :p :p :p :p :p :p :p

Alright..count me in as a definite maybe :D , I was just checking the map, that comes out to about 900 miles/15 hr drive time and I am not so sure my trusty, but rusty(high miles to boot) Berg hauler is up for that. If there is anybody from the Oregon/Washington area that is going and has room for my fat arse and a bike, let me know. I'll kick in for fuel and help drive.

I think you guys are missing one important aspect to planning this trip.

Fuel costs ...... NOT

Distance .......... NOT

Beer supply......... PARAMOUNT,

Lets get this sorted before we commit, Bob, I'm surprised you haven't noted this
detail, shame shame.

Gents I'm in, as long as my calender does not fill between now and then.

Sentinal, lets keep in touch and we can pool down there. It should be 18 hrs. If you leave after work we can still ride the next day, with a little help from Redbull.

I'd have loved to replan the ride up here, but the WEC may be either July or Aug, which our our premier months, as Taff as pointed out, that observant bloke, so Moab is best to me.

Cheers to all, and hope to see you all, new and old, there

Lee note the BNG in the quote to the earlier post
problem for you is I like real mexican beer no not that piss they call corona . I know for a fact no self respecting eh guy would touch that so I am putting you in charge of the Lablatts

I recall, Bobzilla, a little Rollin Rock and a Jack something...

I'm sure we'll get it right.

:D

Date looks good I'm in, I am willing to help with anything organizational. I live a scant three hours from Moab. I'm also 3 1/2 hours to Albuquerque, NM I'd be will to run there to pick up any fly ins. There are also some tasty micro brews right here in Durango so I'll load up on the local fare

i've seen a direct flight from gatwick into vegas for £380 with no changes. that's a tuesday to a tuesday.

due to the kind offer from dezduster to help me i'm likely to stay in sin city for a day before and a day after the force ride.

the flight is with virgin atlantic.

if anyone else from europe would like to go over please think about it. there are spare bikes that we'll be offered as we were in 2005. i indeed ended up taking an offer from berger for two days followed by fryguy for another two.

midweek flights, either tuesday or wednesday seem to be the cheapect dates which are actually perfect for the ride.

i went in via phoenix last year and a look at the map shows that from there to MOAB (which is situated in south utah) and then back via the grand canyon was awesome.

i'm like most men and can take it and leave it but splat persevered and cajoled me to take photos and climb down on rock ledges etc for photo shoots. in the end i didn't want to leave.

this time i get sin city and the hoover dam.... i look forward to these two.

if you (north) american gentlemen could just let us know whether there's a machine or two around i'm sure that the lads might think about it.

the accomodation is cheap and cheerful and i think was £10 (E17) per night per person. fuel is so cheap as may as well be called 'stealing it'. it's criminal.

however, be warned, you may have a life time of debt if you crash fryguy's spare bike!!!!

all the cabins are in a neat row for good sociability. there are better hotels in town and you can camp there or as velo and splat did - take your RV.

regards

Hi guys,
I almost missed out the opportunity to take part of this great adventure (thanks Taffy for the PM). Truely this would be a great deal and I would really love to come. So maybe I can jump the chance. I have to check my boundary conditions at that time in march.
The financial conditions and time management has to be checked.
Taffy, we keep contact.

I Too Would Like To Jump At This Chance If Its Ok With Everyone Else?

ALL RIGHT!!

:wav: :wav: :wav:

Three probable European attendees already! If this keeps up I may have to rent a bus.

Hribman and Kez are welcome to the same offer that I made to Taffy.
Bring it on!

PM Taffy and me for details and so that we can coordinate.
