Hi guys, just a quick one to say hello and share a few pics of my bike I'm doing a winter rebuild on[emoji41] currently awaiting for the new liner from Westwoods to arrive anytime soon. Any advice on what piston to put in her would be much appreciated.

That looks really good!

I am curious about your liner situation - did your existing liner snap during use or during assembly?

Are the westwood liners made from iron - opposed to aluminium?

Thanks.

The existing liner snapped about 30 second into the first start up after changinging the stem seals. Westwood are doing me a ductile iron liner and for a fair price too.

UPDATE, the Westwood liner was not right for the job, all sorted now thanks to taffy liner and piston came yesterday so I can finally get her back together

I would of needed to get the right rings to use in the westwood liner, in the long run I want to keep the bike as close to original as I possibly can.

i was going to say, the piston and rings are specific to nikasil liners. also, the iron liners rust like hell on the outside. not seen one that doesn't. not the end of the world but when you do these things do you know what rust does to heat transfer? no neither do I.
