I seem to be having some small problem with my flywheel, I don't know if it's major enough to replace it, what do you guys think? :D

Lesson learnt, don't use a threeway puller on the flywheel :), so couple of questions, where can i get the proper flywheel puller, is this a special husaberg made tool or a general tool that I should be able to get at a decent automotive tool store? Anyone know the thread specs for this puller?

Are the flywheels from the older SEM ignition bikes interchangeble or do I need to get one from a 650?

Thanks.

check the part number off in your parts book. if the same number then they're the same. you can do that. the tool is very cheap and a must from your dealer.

i did chuckle, sorry!

infact i'm still laughing

no, i'm pissing myself

hahahahahaha

lol lol lol lol lol lol!!!!!!!!!

QUESTION IS: IS IT SCHADENFREUDER I'VE GOT OR IS IT REALLY FUNNY? I CAN'T TELL!

regards

Taffy

PS. i'm still laughing!
PPS. you haven't been using an avator but you have too from now on! this photo is you!!!!

Here is page 46 from the 03 parts manual, the puller (item 5) is for the 99-03 Husabergs.

About $15 US.

Hey Joe, Where are you finding that flywheel puller for 15 bucks? I remember buying mine from Dan and it was not anywhere near that cheap.

don't have a go at dan

at leats not while he's still on holiday again in the carrabean.....

he'll go back to his workshop eventually and ewarn that 'hard earnt crust'

oh no, not baggin on Dan, not in the least, he deserves to make a buck, but I shopped around a bit when I was selling mine after I sold my 02, and they were still pretty pricey. infact I sold mine used for 15 smackers. (if i remember correctly). if the price came down, or a less expensive source is out there, good deal for those people who find it. I will still buy all my parts from Dan. he has earned my business, unfortunatly for him, I have stopped breaking things so often :)

Hi BelgiqueBasterd,

Well you could say you've made a slight mess of that.

I can supply you with a new flywheel if you require one which I think you might after that **** up.

Cost including post will be 90 Euros.

:D I might be a bit of an *****, but am not that big of an *****! The nut was off before I tried to pull it off, took me quite a while to get the nut of too, before I realised that it's left hand thread

Maybe I should go back to collecting stamps or something like that for a hobby, instead of tinkering with Husa's :)

Well your the specialist, what do you, think, some duct tape and a couple of zip ties and it's good to go again? Or do I really need a new one :D

I'll be out of town for a week now, but when I come back I'll be in contact with you, since I also want to have my stator rewound.

RE: Re: Flywheel

Are the flywheels on other type husa's the same?

There is one on ebay now wich comes from a FE 400E 2002, would that one fit?

Re: RE: Re: Flywheel

Hi,

Yes this flywheel will work ok but you need to know if the magnets are in perfect condition they can become detached.

Like I said before I can have a new one shipped out to you if the one on ebay fails.
