Hi there, There is a christmas time, and I've got lots of spare time.I'm not satisfied wit sitting down fith familly and listening all these woman's *********.So I was thinking about machining a flywheel puller to mu Fe400 '03 on my latche. The stator is fitted to ignition cover.
Anyone got a drawing of a puller (with all dimensions such like thread size and pitch, all deptchs, etc) I will be glad, if someone wil take his puller, slide gauge, pitch gauge, some pen and paper and post the picture or draw in i.e..word onto UHE.
cheers guys!!!

Kriss.

RE: Flywheel puller

kriss

it's a 26mm x 1mm thread. and don't forget that it's a right-hand thread!

the bolt up the middle should be an M12 x 1.75mm and both should take a 19mm spanner. it's down in the ORO catalogue at about £17 plus the dreaded.

if you make up an order i have them in stock and = no postage costs.

Taffy

RE: Flywheel puller

Thanks taffy!
M12x1.75 is a standard pitch for M12 thread, so it's just M12 thread.
I'm gonna make that tomorrow.I'm just thinking about depth of threaded section of puller.Let's say, I'll make it with 25mm depth.
Hope It'll work!

It might look something like this.

wrong ***, log 8O

on the money eric...

and for the uninitiated i shall translate

the '01 pus pullers are an external fit or inother words a nut and not a bolt thus they wrap around and don't poke in thus the expression "wrong ***!"

got it?

Guess the picture I showed is for the 89 thru 98 Berg. Sorry for the confusion though apparently, I'm the only one confused.

sincerely,
log

That's right! 89 to 98 bergs has got male puller (thread in flywheel is nut-like)In '01 through '03, the puller is female type (the flywheel is bolt-like).That I think clears all doubts, confusements, etc.

I'm just machining it.Let's see what i come up with!!!

stop calling me shirley!

shirley not????

Taffy
