So the local exotic Motocycle repair guy, Bill West of Vintage Cycle (does restorations and works on VOR, Husaberg, aprilla, etc ) said he was at randsburg this past memorial day and ran into five guys from the bakersfield area all on bergs. Bill was with a group oF VOR guys and he was riding a new aprilla 450, anyone we know from here?

well you remember that first force ride?

we set out on the thursday morning with 9 and came back with just 4 and i wondered where the others got too?

sheesh - bermuda triangle eat yer heart out!

regards

Taffy

Yep, that was some of my Pals and I. We had six Berg's in camp that weekend, a '97, '98, '03, '04, '05 and a '07. We were camped at California City and rode up to Randsburg for some refreshments at the White House Saloon. Talked to a couple of the guys about selling my Vor. One of my Pals got into a pissing match with the Aprilla guy (Bill), apparently Bill said something about Husabergs that my Bill didn't like. Oh well, all is good. Next big camp out is Kennedy Meadows on the Fourth of July. All are welcome.

Ya, I don't think he thought much of bergs after the story he tells of a 02 650 he has worked on. He and Dan at Motoxotica apparently are friends and Dan hooked me up with him..

His aprilla sure looks sweet though, and he has some beauty classic bikes in his little shop.

Fairly certain that was mine he worked on. It ran a lot better after he worked on it thats for sure. It still has issues, but I am working on em. I have officially named it the husabroke... May try and get a personalized plate to match it, if I decide to keep it.

I have never gone out on a trip with it without something falling off or apart. Damn thing is a PITA to start.
