Hi took me berg out off-roading for the first time today did some of the Shropshire lanes.Once i stopped trying to ride it like me xr600 i got on quite well.Mind you will have to get a side stand the lads will soon get fed up of opening and closing gates after me.The only thing i will do is gear it different its running a 48 rear sprocket and i could do with dropping a few or go up on the front .What do you guys run front and back or do you keep as stock.

Hello there

Standard gearing for FE501 is 15 front / 48 rear but as you have motocross gearbox ( i assume??) i would go with 14 front / 48 rear, might be a case of mix and match a bit till you feel right.

Glad to see another berg out in shropshire, drop in for a coffie if you need any help with the beast
