Hi Guys!

Finally the weather was kind enough to let me go out and ride for a while :). After coming back I removed the radiator cap and a black foamy substance(dont want to sound like CSI)was floating on the coolant! Not much, I practicaly removed it with a paper tissue, but I'm really worried that its coming from the head gasket :((. Any ideas?

Cheers,Tom

Well, flush the coolant and change it and oil and see is it doing that again.

Does it build up pressure in the cooling system? Maybe a leaking water pump seal (if that is possible).

No pressure build up, atleast i cant tell. I changed the coolant, and changed the water pump seal as well, went for a ride and coolant was clear. Didnt ride much since it was cold and windy today, but tomorrow should be sunny then I'll go for a 40 km ride in the woods(hopefully), and then I can tell more :). Fingers crossed!

Cheers, Tom

So, I went for a 50 kilometer ride Sunday. All is okay, no coolant missing and no oil or anything other in the coolant either, so I guess the seal was to blame. Only thing is that when I got back all of the nuts and bolts from the rear sprocket were loose, dont know why that happened, probably cause the 650 is a monster :)).
