My head gasket is leaking at the low left corner (when I'm sitting on the bike).

Nothing really dramatic for now, but winter's coming and I'll have plenty of time to fix this problem.

I've been reading a lot and I can't make up my mind: do I get the stock Husaberg MLS gasket (Part number 78830036000) or should I buy a copper gasket ?

Where can I get a copper gasket ?

Thanks !

I just went through this with my FE450. I ended up going with the stock head gasket sprayed with Hylomar.

I agonized over the decision and while calling around looking for the copper one, I chatted with a shop owner who ended up giving me some insights into the choices. I forget the exact details but he said that the MLS gasket from KTM should be fine for my application with stock internals. I wish I remember the shop's name but the owner was extremely helpful and it was obvious from the level of detail he was talking about that he knew his stuff and had seen this before.

An American company called SCE an valley force Husaberg here in Australia are two that come to mind.

Thanks all for the replies. I'm ordering a new stock husaberg gasket.

Regarding Hylomar, which product did you use:

1. Hylomar Universal Blue (non-setting gasket and jointing compounds)
2. Hylomar M (non-setting gasket and jointing compounds)
3. Hylotyte Red (semi hardening gasket & jointing compound)
4. Hylomar Advanced Formulation (solvent free non-setting gasket & jointing compound)
5. Hylosil RTV silicone sealants (engineering grade one part silicone sealants - OEM approved)
6. Hylomar anaerobics (thread lockers, thread sealants, retainers and gasket compounds)

Anybody...? Which Hylomar should I use and how should I use it ?

Use the universal blue, sparingly ! A light spray either side of the gasket is fine, too much can clog oil jets and filters etc.

Edit: let it dry before assembling.
