FE570 Clutch cover leaking

Hi guys, the outer clutch cover on my 09 has started to leak again. I replaced the rubber gasket once already and it sealed up nice for about 70 hours but its starting to weap again. Not bad just enough to collect dust but it will drive me nuts, I hate leaks. Anyone seen this before? Could the cover be warped? Im temped to put some Loctite 518 on it.

OK I was wrong, gasket is only $6.89 AND 20% off sale at berg-parts.com but how do I make it last?

They do sweat a little, mine sweats on the bottom side of the cover, not much you can do, just wipe it off
I have a Rekluse billet cover on my FE570, it also sweats a little, they are much tougher than the stock covers. there is a lot of hot oil flying around inside this cover, causing it to sweat a little!!
My stock cover was damaged within two weeks from new, from rocks coming off the front tire out in the rabbit creek, Murphy area.
I am on my second billet cover, Just part of the fun when riding in sand washes and rocks!!
The bike is so good I can overlook these little things.

I have same issue. Have a Rekluse CoreEXP with the extra clearance cover and mine seeps. Just enough to collect some trail dirt, never a drip or even a full blown leak. A new gasket seems to work for a while and at < $7 per, I almost view it as a consumable

BTW, Haskell - is your brake pedal like mine and clears the bottom edge of the clutch cover by mere millimeters?

I was thinking it might be a good excuse to get a fancy billet cover, the pretty blue ones will be extinct soon. Will try some loctite 518 along with the new seal, see how long it lasts.

Funny you should mention rabbit creek, I was riding out there yesterday. The rocks can be brutal, luckily my tires have been the only casualty so far!

be very careful with any type of sealer with these motors.
A few small pieces of sealer or clutch fiber(after installing new clutch plates) on the oil pump filter screen(the screen by the drain plug) will restrict oil flow reducing oil pressure and damage the engine

Thats why I prefer 518. Its an anaerobic and doesnt plug things up like a silicone will. Dont want my screen to look like this:

Cover is warped. Put a big sheet of fine sandpaper on an even surface and sand the sealing edge of the cover until it all looks even. Check it on a piece of glass. I use a glass chopping board. Do not use a liquid gasket. I completely clogged a lower oil screen on my old Kato doing this.

Mine is leaking from the other side (magneto). It leaked a couple of cap fulls of oil over a year. I tried yamabond at first and when that didn't work I replaced the gasket. It is still leaking. I can't really tell where the oil is coming from. Mine is an FS 570 2011 . It also tends to run down the outside of the case when the engine is running, which is very annoying. I believe it's done it since new, it just took me awhile to notice.
