Can anyone give me some feedback on FE390's, I'm just about to part with the best part of 7K and want to know how it compares to a 450?!!

What sort of riding will you do with it? Will it be your only bike?

I am from the UK, being pretty new to this off road lark (Enduro) after 30 years road/circuit racing i went out and bought brand new Husky TE250 bearing in mind i had never ever ridden off road... i could not get on with it and it frustrated the hell out of me until a guy asked if he could demo ride it which he did and rode his FE390 2009 and i cannot tell you how much improvement i made in one half hour session it was if the bike was made for the clubman type rider... i sourced by recommendation a decent UK Husaberg dealer and eventually went with Midwest Racing in Melksham and bought a 2011 FE390, i am now getting better results and my riding is so much more confident and i seriously grin everytime i ride her..... yes they are expensive to buy but ultra reliable, very simple to service and the customer support i get from Midwest is bloody fantastic, mine has now done 70 hours.

FYI... It was not that the Husky was bad but i bought the X-Lite model which is a very focused machine and needed to be ridden by someone who ride well, sadly i am not at that level and did not get the best out of it, someone said to me riding it was like taking a Formula 1 car to the local supermarket shopping...... am i really that slow lol.

I can honestly say that for as long as do thid off road stuff i will now be loyal to Husaberg.

I am considering entering an Enduro Series albeit for amateurs or old gits like me!!!
I have ridden off road bikes since I was 10, but never competitively, and now that I am 42 I feel I am running out of time to do it!!!
I have a CRF450X at present, but only use it on Green Lanes and MX Track Days.
My local dealer has tempted me with the FE390 and I'm pretty much sold on the idea but wanted some feed back on weather it would be right for what I want to do with it.

Thanks for that, it sounds as if it could be the bike for me!!
I'm far from a pro but have been riding from a young age and fancy a Hare & Hound Series.
I will wait for a bit more feed back, but it's looking like I may take the plunge!!!
