First up hello to everyone, and congratulations on a great friendly multinational site!!!

Well as you can see I need a bit of advice as to whether to buy an 08 FE or FS with respective SM or enduro kit.

I previously had a KTM sxc 625 with a SM kit and found it fine on road but lacking suspension travel on big off road jumps so I was gonna go for the FE but I also saw that for on road use the FS has a more appropriate gearbox.
The use It's gonna have is: Motorcross jumps 15% off road 15% on road 70% (high speed 120km/h + and very occasional track day)

Also is it cheaper/ easier to find Sm or Enduro kits?

Any help with this much appreciated!!!

Thanks, I figured that the enduro kit would be cheaper however the FS 650e costs 2400€ more new than the Fe 650e!!!! (on offer). THe fs 650c is 1100€ more expensive but I think it wouldn't be worth the hassle to put lights on it and do a one off special registration as it is not a road registrable model. Any ideas on how much the kits cost approximately?

Brakes??

Hi.

You have to get a FE (Enduro)!!!

Reason: the normal FE brake system would not fit on the FS lower fork end.
The supermoto brake caliper dont fit on a Enduro wheel, hits the spokes, you have to un align the wheel 8mm to have clearence if you would like to run a SM rotor.

Buy a FE and then get a Supermoto kit with a supermoto brake system 6 piston caliper from Beringer ( OEM 2004 FS).
Next item, its easier to adjust a FE suspention to supermoto than the opposite.
Most teams we know run FE 400mm shock (390mm FS) and FE lenght on the forks due to that the footpegs will not touch the ground so quickly as the do when you are on a low FS. The low FS suspention sucks on the enduro/mx track.
We have 4 bikes that was a FE to start with and then we adjust the suspention to the riding condition, if you are not a top level rider this is good enough, no need to re-build the suspention.
Brakes: There are a number of brands to chose from if you have the FE lower end on the forks, Brembo-Magura-Beringer- Motomaster-ect ect, both 4 and 6 piston caliper systems.
We prefer the 6 piston Beringer and with a Beringer Airotec radial master cyl.

Hi Mat!

You have to get something else, not Husaberg. Buy back your SXC and revalve and resprung suspension
But, if if you _must_ have Husaberg, choose FE!

Cheers, Goran
