Hey all,

Been lurking around here for a while and just about to go after a FE570. There are a number for sale here in Aus some with and some without the three setting map switch

Im just after some feedback as to whether they are of use or not.

would like to here from those who do and those who don't have/use them

Thanks in advance

Rusty

I use mine. Mild for enduro and aggressive for road, ice and tracks. Not much of a difference but noticeable.

BUT I would not pay for a switch again as it's not very handy and it's too expensive for what it is. Look around on this forum and you will find a thread where you can find a schematic to build your own. All you need is two resistors and a switch.
You could also make it even simpler with two plugs with a resistor and just change plug when you want to change mode.

I raced and green laned my 570 in 2010-2012 and I used it. basically i always had it on mild or standard. worth doing - whether you don't like the money it costs is your decision. at least the units I sell match a nice bike and don't look like a bit of home-made junk.

Yes, I was talking about the KTM powerpart. Ugly, fiddly and expensive. I regret buying it.
I am tempted buying that nice blue switch but must keep my costs down right now.

Ive herd mixed reviews, very strange, but i had a mapping switch on my old gas gas 250 ec and it was useless, did absolutely nothing i could feel.
However am still tempted to get one for the softer setting as bike is a bit snatchy down low.

To me it feels like the mild setting makes good traction in loose slippery stuff. In aggressive its is easy to break the back wheel free and create massive roosts.

Whichever switch there is one common denominator, the bike must be shut down to make a change so is a bar mounted switch truly worth it?

My bike came with the switch fitted, if I were to set one up I'd use the resistors and switch.
