2011 FE 570 with only 1,500 miles on it. The front brake lever pulls all the way in and has 0 stopping power.

The reservoir is full of brake fluid. What are the possible reasons for brake not working?

Thank You! :)

Would have to be air in the system. Maybe a loose fixing. Bleed it. If you've never done it before have a shop do it for You. they can be a pain.

Limited possibilities: fluid leak between master and brake or at brake, failed piston seals at master, plugged master in reservoir, air in master or lines or brake. Start with opening bleeder at brake and see if you get fluid flow when you squeeze the lever and go from there.

Good luck

Bleeding the front brake is actually really easy. Go to the local farm and garden store and pick up a non luer lock syringe and a length of poly/vinyl hose & brake fluid. Then youtube a video of ktm reverse brake bleeding.

Tap the line a few time when doing it also keep high point off the line (air can be trapped there) reverse is the best way.

Brake bleeding

I've found the easiest way to remove small air bubbles is to pull in the brake lever hard, and when you release it, a few bubbles escape. Make sure the master cylinder is at the highest point and brake lines do not have a high spot where they can get an airlock. You can tie the lever in with a zip tie, tape or a bungee and leave it for a few hours, but if you need to ride, a few minutes of pumping works well

Bleeding the brakes isn't that difficult with a syringe and an adapter to the fitting on the brakes.
Tape back the lever so it is out of the way.
Remove the master cylinder cover and rubber piece.
Remove the fitting on your brakes and attach the adapter and full syringe with attached tubing.
Make sure to bleed bubbles out of the syringe and tubing before attaching.
Slowly compress syringe allowing fluid to make its way up the line to the master.
Use another syringe to suck excess fluid from the master. Don't remove all fluid though.
Refill lower syringe and continue process to get a continuous flow of bubble free fluid in the line.
Remove syringe and install fitting again while fluid is near the top in master.
Top off master and put back together.
You should have a better brake.

Thank you all so much for the advice and information! I will give it a shot and see what I can accomplish. May try watching a youtube video also. Good idea :)
