Hi all, I have a problem finding the part called: heim joint KGW 1525 HD
Has somebody changed this and especially, does it match with the KTM's
part with number 50180005, called: heim joint, bearing, bushing and whatever... Thanks in advance! :(

yep, your not the first or last to do it and i bet, like me, next time you'll be greasing it up every other month!

they press out one way so watch out! they have a circlip holding the heim in and once the clip is out i used a pair of sockets to press out and in using the workshop vice.

i don't know where you're from! here ion the uk we go to the WP importer in lincolnshire. famous trial rider comes to mind. braybrook? summink like that.

I bought the bike end of october, so I don't know the reason. We do not have any WP dealer near, KTM's dealer is most suitable for me. So I need to find parts matching between my Husaberg and KTM.

i think that all you need to do is confirm the size of the bolt that goes through the 'eye' of the heim bearing and then if it's the same as a KTM you should go ahead and order it.

A KTM-Owner told me to install the bearing dry, without any grease. There should be a kind of teflon-layer in the balljoint and no lubrication is necessary.
I found them dry when i took off the damper.
I greased them anyway.

Was that wrong?

I'm not sure was it wrong, but most probably it wasn't. The thing I want to know is can I use a KTM part for my purpose and which part number it has.

the part number will be in the '04 parts manual available here on UHE. go to downloads and search there.

husaberg and KTM now share the same part numbers i believe.

as far as greasing the heim beasring goes-you're both right IMHO!!!!

the bearing doesn't need greasing, however, by packing it with grease you are keeping the water out and stopping the surfaces from rusting.
