Went down at slow speed the other week but a direct slam for the LH peg because the bike tucked under really quick on rock slab; iced over. Thought peg was bent at first but fear it's the frame. Clearance between the frame boss that the kickstart stop screws into and bottom chain guide was about 1.5mm.(As per pic) Dropped again today on soft albeit frozen ground today and there is now no clearance in the same place.
Is this a known weak area. Would be good to know what the clearance should be here? If bent what are the options ? If straightened will it be a weak spot if not reinforced ?
Thoughts much appreciated

I wouldn't worry about it too much; play seems okay.
I have 2 bikes here, took a look at them and they both have the same play of 1 to 1,5 mm.

Hope that helps.

the peg mounts to the main frame whereas the kiskstart mount is effectivly a tab added at the back of the mainframe tube.

bending the kickstart mount isnt going to effect the pegs.

if this was a bendy frame issue it would be well known by now with all the bergs that people are crashing around the world

if anything is bent it will be the peg, i've even broken pegs off before now, that was on an suzuki rmx though, and i didnt mind as i was knock out

Thanks, its good to know the normal clearance is around 1-1.5mm.
I did some searching and agree there is nothing out there about a weak point. Best thing I can do is fit a new peg and see how it looks. Only worry now is the clearance is zero after the second crash and any more will start pushing the bottom chain guide inwards and away from the center of the chain /rollers.
Must be getting paranoid because I was one of the very few unlucky ones who had the loctite (from the factory build) blocking the oil jets that lube the timing chain resulting in disintegration of the the tensioner guides and a top end rebuild after only 13 hours. All done under warranty though with no hassle from either the dealer or Husaberg :)
Thanks, Tony
