Can anyone tell me if electric start can be fitted to a 1998 FC 600 ? I tore my left hamstring several years ago and have been unable to kick start bike since injury. Thanks for any info. Tony

I'm afraid not. the kickstart bike had totally different crankcases to the leccy boot version. they even have a different FRAME!!!

sorry!

Taffy, I read on another site of an FCR kit that you sell that makes the 'Bergs much easier to start. Can you give me some info. I love my FC 600 and have gone to a great deal of effort and time to get it street legal, and don't want to have to do it all again with a new bike. My model is a 1998 FC 600. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks, Tony

firstly, have a look at this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=15753&p=130490#p130490

if the dell orto is freshened right up like the second bike it'll start straight away first kick. ignition and tappets right and completely freshen up the carb, don't cut corners, blow BACKWARDS never forwards always block one of the two holes that aren't the face hole under the belmouth. that you always leave open.

yes I do an FCR kit but as I say, your bike should start first time with everything right as mentioned above. kit is in my ebay shop (see my signature below).

regards

Taffy
