i bought a 1997 fc 600 last year(bit of a basket case)plan being to rescue it,due to an accident since i am unable to kick it off properly,would it be poss to convert to leccy start?if so any information would be much appreciated,also does a manual exist and if so where from?apologies for my ignorance

are you in the UK? or where are you from?
give me an email address via a PM from you and i'll send you a copy. you'll need to look up the electrical diagram in it to see if you were given the wiring for it.
basically, if you have 6 wires coming out of the ignition - you're in! if you have three - your out. you can convert it but its starting to get harder and harder!
why don't you consider all the decomp tricks and then kicking with the other leg? these nikes start FIRST time on the kicker when set up right.

In order to change 2000 and prior models to estart you would need to replace the center cases, frame, exhaust header and more which would be cost prohibitive. On the 2001 and up models adding estart is a fairly easy proposition as the center cases are the same for both.

the manual in our downloads for his bike is a mess eric. joe has now sorted out a new manual with all the pages and in the right order! we await opur great leader to do the necassary...
