Just a quick ride report on my FC550 04, i`ve had the FE 450+550 04`s they both felt too revvy for me seemed to have lost some of the Bergs torque. Went on a outing today to a nearby forest which involves trail riding and hill climbing, the FC550 totally out shone the FE models. On the hill climbing theres 2 main hills we have a go at (usually get up after a bit of performing) the FC straight up first go. As for the trail riding no probs there, backed the folks off 4 clicks felt great and loads of usable power. This Berg is a beast. Thanks to D.C.R. for the great deals.

FC vs FE

Interesting, to say the least and a bit surprising.I have been considering purchasing a leftover 2003 Berg I originally only considered the FE because I prefer more technically challenging terrain.I "assumed" with the external flywheel and Enduro designation it was the obvious choice. Now I am a bit confused never owning a Husaberg before about making the "right" choice.I have a 1986 TE510 Husqvarna that has a great engine just wanted a more modern bike.Any input from anyone who owns or has ridden both the FC's and the FE's would be much appreciated.

Hi mboygood,

if your buying it for suspension over rutty ground go for the FE, if your looking at its power delivier go for the FC. Not to sure if this helps.

Hey Brookester,

Did you try putting the "closed course" jetting in the FE's like the FC has?

The only change is that the cc jetting for the 550 is a richer needle, and richer pilot jet. If you have the "green" read lean jetting in your FE that might explain the lack of torque.

FE-FC

Hi DaleEO

not tried the closed course jetting on the FE, hopefully getting my 05 FE550 this week with a bit of help from gruntunberg i`ll give the jetting a go :)
