The points made mainly refer to the Moto versions as stated. Go back and read it again.
The industry revolves for the most part around the Motocross bikes and that is where Husaberg captured its fame in the early days.(Joel Smetts - 4x World Champ would have one more if the Bergs would have worked)
The FC 450 never produced over 40 hp and many dinos have Honda 450s at as high as 55hp. That said we all know they do give different numbers, but it is safe to say well over 10hp. This kind of thing is a joke when a guy drops 7k for a bike that is not in any way competitive. A few horse power is one thing but the numbers listed are way out of line.
The FE 550 is an incredable bike for the vet class and could be used in Moto as well. The 550 is a great bike but not legal in the 450 class. The 550 was never my focus because it is not even legal in the 450 class except for vets. My point about the 550 was that it takes Husaberg 100 more ccs to even post numbers like a modern 450. Then the turning is not going to be as sharp because of the monster piston. All of this is said to make my point about the development of the 450 being way behind the industry standards. Now the Kaw 450 is posting about three more horse power over the Honda, so the future is even going to require more power. Husaberg better get started if they intend to catch up?
Now what does all of this personal crap have to do with me wanting to see if anybody has data on an 08 bike?
And yes I have a good friend that has the Honda 450x with a pipe on it. I have many miles on it as he likes to ride the 550 at times. The Honda 450x will smoke a Husaberg Fe 450 in western conditions. The power is not even close to the Honda as it would take maybe 50 more ccs to compair the two. The Berg would do well in Eastern conditions as not much power is needed in most areas.
So do you have anything on the new 08s or do you just want to argue?
