I saw in a thread CelcticDude has done this, anyone else? Will it be plug and play without the battery? My beloved 550 gets a case of the boils when in a low air flow situation...blahblahblah. You know when. Seems to still rip, but I got her wicked hot the other day at 12,500'. Melted the conduit to the head I put the stator wires in. :eep: Thanks in advance!

You'll need a regulator, rectifier and large capacitor. Search the electrical forums for notes on running DC without a battery.
