Has anyone removed the backpressure " washers" that are welded inside the header pipe (its a 00 501e. ) any negatives ? im thinking of removing them and rejetting for more " flow" and hopefully a little more "snap" .. thanks for any replies in advance ...

it's meant to be important to have a step that stops the back pressure wave reaching the cylinder. i ported my head so that there was no step and all was good. i would think you might feel a slight powergain.

do try to test back-to-back!
