Hi Lads

Have to post my woes after having to learn to kick my bick over again(2002fs650). Sitting here sweating with a sore foot.

Its been off the road for 8months and for the last fortnight I've been tinkering with it. Shock serviced/oil/filter/brake overhaul/denso plug etc and polishing up the rims for the summer.

It refused to start, at one point I got off the bike and swore I'd trade it in for a blade. Took 2mins out, had a redbull and went through my start procedure one step at a time. I kicked the bike over a fair few times with the decomp lever in and it popped, must've been flooding it earlier.

Prepped the kick lever and put everything I had behind it. It was gonna start or have my leg off.

It then sparked into life and the past 20mins of pain and stress vanished. I love my berg!

That is the procedure I use on all the DelOrto equipped bergs. Decompressor pulled, throttle open 3-4 kicks. Bring it to TDC decompressor off and let er rip, one smooth quick kick.
I use the method hot or cold. just to clear the cylinder.

It brings in a large quantity of fresh air to clear the cylinder.

I'd make my own vid but it'd probably need translating for everyone else, being from near newcastle. Known for our hard to understand accent and talking too fast.

No sorry Dan, didn't get a word of that!!!

Bet that bloke wasn't kicking over a 650 with no shoe on.
