Any chance that sometime in near future (05 model would be nice ) Husabergs would be California emissions street legal? Since they are already Green Sticker legal it seems that it would not be too dificult to get a CARB street legal emissions label. If that were the case then Husabergs would be the only bikes that currently could be Dual Sported under the new California law regarding the road registering of off road motorcycles. This could be a huge marketing advantage!
They wouldn't need to be "street legal" out of the box only "Street emissions legal". The owner would still be required to affix the proper lighting, horn etc.
The way I see it Husaberg and BMG would clean up in this niche market as no other product of this kind exists. Unless you include a DRZ and a few others which don't really come close.
