I'm quite certain that my previous posts about my EFM autoclutch have bored you to the max! After many rides I can tell you that it has performed flawlessly and even better than I had expected. No adjustments to spring or balls or shims has been required. It disengages completely to the point that I can kickstart it in any gear. I have found no additional fouling of the oil at all. The clutch spring action is so light that it immediately engages whenever I open the throttle.
It works so well that I have removed my electric start and battery. Why did I do that? It removes around 12 pounds of excess weight. The autoclutch ensures that you will NEVER stall the engine unless you push the stop button. Coupled with the fact that a well-tuned Husaberg will fire on first kick every time is a no-brainer.

but dude! if this is an update, why aren't you adding to a long thread that you meticulously built up?

where's the info?

otherwise i agree with everything you say.

regards

Taffy

Starters can be a good thing in certain situations and after a while it's overall a good thing. 12 pounds? I think closer to 6, counting the red button and the solenoid. But that's not the debate.

Like Taffy says, we need more info. EFM's site does not list any Husaberg clutch. I know you told us it was a custom job, but we'd like to see some photos, and also what year and model do you have?

Thanks!

Here's the link to the previous thread with all the photos:

Despite the fact it doesn't state it on the EFM site, Garry will make a Husaberg autoclutch for only $500.(US) He said that the basket is just like the older KTMs. You do have to send the basket in but turn around time is pretty fast. BTW I did weigh the starter and battery with the gears and all the other parts and I got 12 pounds. 8O My point being why drag around all that weight when the autoclutch will prevent you from ever stalling the engine?
