2009 FE390 wouldn’t start on button nothing bike was dead. Turned out to be starter button connection behind headlight it was loose. Zip tied it all good now. Easy fix but the owners manual took me to possible expensive places starter/relay etc. good thing I have other 70* bikes just replace parts till find it! What saved me was (what’s the last thing I did before it wouldn’t start) I had added a Tripmaster switch to the odometer.

Yep, I learned that lesson many times. Start on the easy and cheap solution and work your way towards the complex and expensive solution. I have spent too many hours looking for a problem that was a simple fix somewhere else (usually where I have been fiddling with stuff...).
