I have an fs 650 c 2005 and it has been starting easy, kick starting because the battery was bad, replaced it with another defective one. Anyway, do i need to check the valves if it continues to start easy even if I have30+ hours.

thanks,
edwin

I would say go ahead and check the valves just to get one under your belt. You want to do the first one before you have any problems. On my first couple of bergs I used to check the valves about every 10 hours or so. Presently I have an "as needed" attitude. Unless I hear something or the starting developes an issue, I call them good.
Just my opinion.
