..has anyone of you fitted one?

i did fit a brand new pair a week ago, and when i brake ,the front tyre catches a bit in the fork, where fork seal is.
the pilot power i had before were ok, and as soon as i fitted the dunlop it started to catch.

it is not a big deal, but it looks strange that dunlop produce a tyre wich it wears too big, i mean my berg is a sm out of the box, not converted :?:

so i am getting paranoid that my wheel is foocked

anyone has fitted them?it is my wheel,or the tyre too large?

I have not run dunlops myself but have read a number of threads that say they are quite a bit larger than the published size and this has caused some clearance problems.

Cheers

Mark

Dunlop rears are definitely WAY too wide, so it would not surprise me if they made the same mistake with a front...

It could be that your front wheel is slightly offset.

My FS650 had the tyre rubbing on one side of the fork as you described. It is just a matter of loosing one side and tightening the other side of the spokes to allign the wheel perfectly in teh centre of the forks.

are we talking knobblies or motard here?

I have the fattest D606's I could find on my '03 and the front comes close to the fork but misses by about 6mm or 1/4 inch each side. Oh I have those neoprene fork seal covers fitted too.

I am talking motard and I am pretty confidant that akamarco is as well

hey sibbo, so you had the same problem.

what tyre make was it? was it catching in the fork, opposite side of the disk?

so did you" work" on the spokes, was it ok after??

It was the stock tyre (Michey Pilot), rubbing on the opp fork to the disk.

As it was a new bike, I had the shop do it for me as a warrenty claim (partly cos my Yamaha spoke key did not fit!). It is perfectly in the centre with clearance either side now and no more rubbing.

My tire is also rubbing the fork on the opposite side of the disk (Pirelli Supercorsa sc1 120-17)
To solve this problem is to loose and retighten the spokes, clear.
Is your braking disc in the middle of the brake caliper?
