RE: Don

Intresting article/interview in Classic Racer Mag about the life and times of Gene Romero.I got the idea from his comments that he feels that dirttrack will never see the popularity thay it had when it was part of the AMA Grand National program.
Do you think that AMA racing and its riders and sponsors in general would benifit from a program where dirt track, road racing,TT's and possibly supermoto were incorporated into a single series.
Any comments!
I would have posted this on Flatrack.com but they are still mad at me for not being a KR fan,and we wont even bring up the Kentucy kid.

Hi Bruce,
Personally, I believe "Dirttrack" will carry it's own.
I am very proud to include Gene Romero among my group of friends.

RE: Re: RE: Don

One comment he made that surprised me was that the number of AMA professional licenses has dwindeled from 5500 to somewhere around 330 in the last 25 years.Being an AMA guy have any comments.
Next time you see Mr Romero maybe you can get me a t-shirt.
Have him write "Burrito #3 " on it.I have always been a fan and I will send you big BUX.
I got a Nixon shirt a few years to go with my autograghed Springsteen hat,If I can get one from Gene Romero my life will be complete.

Gene is a fellow AMA Dirttrack Committee member.
We are attending the Indy Dealer Expo. Will you be there?
