I've fitted a Trailtec Vapor computer to my 2002 FS650e. The rev counter on the Vapor gets its trigger from a few turns of sensor wire wrapped around the outer of the spark plug lead. The unit requires a number to be set in to the computer as part of the set up procedure for the rev counter. I've set this to 1 for a 4 stroke, however, if the Berg engine uses a wasted spark I may need to alter this number to obtain the correct rev reading. So the question is, does the spark plug fire once per 4 stroke cycle or does it fire twice?

I am pretty sure the SEM ignition in your bike fires once every 360 degrees of crankshaft rotation.

it should be ok. all four strokes nowadays fire from the crank and not the cam. the computer may give you an option and if it doesn't just ask the manufacturer.
