Differences FE570 and FS570

Hi. Thinking about selling my ktm 525 exc now and getting a 570 husaberg. There are a couple out for sale now. Theres a standard FS 570 with no aftermarket parts with 50 hours ridden. There is also a FE 570 with tons of aftermarket parts like akrapovic and other blue bling thats ridden 50 hours. I was wondering what the differences between these bikes are. If i throw on the supermoto wheels on a FE is it exactly the same as an FS or what?

I believe that the FS and FE motors are the same other than the closer ratio trans gears in the FS.

20mm lower suspension, stiffer springs
radial front brake and fork lower, matching master/lever
SM front fender
SM wheels, cush drive rear
shorter kickstand
Less offset triple clamp

If you want fast street, the FE is easier to slap wheels and brakes on and go fast.

If you want supermoto racing and swap to dirt here and there, buy the FS. Some folks don't like the idea of a big brake rotor on a dirt bike, yielding too much leverage.

Oh ok. I will only be using it for street. Drive to and from work, and some riding around in the city having fun in weekends is what i do mostly. There was alot of differences so maybe i should just buy the FS and screw the aftermarket parts on the FE? I mean i never ride enduro. Like ever. Sometimes i may ride on some gravel roads but not often. What you think? I should get the FS then instead?

I have an '11 FS and it is perfect for what you plan to use it for. If you decide to convert it to enduro duty, It's cheaper to add the enduro parts to a Supermoto (availability of parts), than it is to add the Supermoto parts to an enduro. My FS is only used in Supermoto trim, but I have a TE 630 Husky for dual sporting.

Yeah i figured the bike would suit my needs

Agree what you say. But i looked into the brakes and all and it is only 4 piston front caliper. And so i figured i could probably mount the 6 piston husa caliper but the mounting on the fork legs doesnt look like the standard ones like on the FE and ktms and stuff. Is there much difference between the 4 and 6 piston calipper?

the FS model comes with a cush drive hub (at least here in oz it does). i'd say this should be the clincher if you are only riding on road. good for all the usual reasons, plus the drive shaft splines can wear prematurely, a cush drive will lessen this. see this thread and others: http://husaberg.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16660
