Can anyone tell me what dealers on the East Coast are planning on carrying on selling Bergs? The Husaberg.com website no longer has a dealer locator and many of the old dealers were not active anyhow.

Thanks
Scott

Hi there Scott,

Always a sore spot for the Husaberg owner, Berg dealers are illusive and often non existent in the most parts of the eastern region. To make matters worse, all Berg dealers need to "requalify" (financial stuff) with KTM before they can continue to carry the brand, so the number we had has dwindled even more.

The only three dealers I was personally aware of are no longer selling the bike. I'm sure there are some out there, but the east coast has always been very thin.

Hopefully, we'll be able to get another updated dealer list when the dust settles.

thanks,

I am still doing it,cant get any more east coast than me..500 ft and I am standing in the water.

now there's the beginning of a good thread! "what's the set up?"

we had only four dealers in the whole of the UK when i started and we're back there again at about the same!

what do we need dealers for anyway? just to buy the bike from? after that they are too far away for servicing so we do it ourself and all you need is a man who can flog you some parts.

if i needed a dealer nearby who carried some gear versus a dealer a long way away (who i never visited or met) but had all the gear and it was there the next day -WHICH WOULD I WANT??

debate! or i get rude (again LOL!!!)

regards

Taffy

Hey! I found a Huse dealer in Rindge, New Hampshire. The manager, Joe, spent quite a bit of time with me talking Husa-talk. I guess they might be in that renegotiating mode also, though. Great deals on '07's. I was just looking for any info and help that I can get to get my 96 350 back in the woods here in New England. Got rid of the 2 stroker to get this beast running. Found it on the side of a road a few clicks from my house, made a low offer and now have a monster to resurrect! Steve

i don't know if its debatable, but afa dealers are concerned, i use them for parts only, and only once in nine years of bergownership have i walked in the door and asked for parts. everything else was mailed to me. back in the day i was a dealer myself (suz, kaw, ktm) and even tho we sold a fair amount of bikes, the only party to make anything from the sale was the bank who held our floorplan loan. all our profit to keep the doors open was from parts, accessories and service. so if ktm jacks up the requirements for being a dealer, it will remain a sparse bergonly dealer network. best setup from their point of view in that scenario would be a ktm/ berg dealership and all the people who we currently deal with and love will be struggling to meet the combined dealership requirements. the only question to be asked then would be where do you put the"h"? kthm? hktm?

scott, we are kinda east, east of the mississsippi. we are in west tennessee.we have 08 bergs in stock and lots of parts. thanks,

Hi I just joined the site cause I'm thinking about a Berg myself after years on KTMs. I went to the dealer in Rindge, NH today (45 minutes from me) to check them out. They have only 07's, but a bunch of them.

I'm curious about the 08 models and what changed from 07. Anyone shed any light on that for me? The 09 model stirred my interest really and I'm not really sure why Husaberg released all the info about them so soon with so many previous models on the showroom floor, or at least the floor at this dealer.

Thanks for any feedback.
