i don't know if its debatable, but afa dealers are concerned, i use them for parts only, and only once in nine years of bergownership have i walked in the door and asked for parts. everything else was mailed to me. back in the day i was a dealer myself (suz, kaw, ktm) and even tho we sold a fair amount of bikes, the only party to make anything from the sale was the bank who held our floorplan loan. all our profit to keep the doors open was from parts, accessories and service. so if ktm jacks up the requirements for being a dealer, it will remain a sparse bergonly dealer network. best setup from their point of view in that scenario would be a ktm/ berg dealership and all the people who we currently deal with and love will be struggling to meet the combined dealership requirements. the only question to be asked then would be where do you put the"h"? kthm? hktm?
