I bought a new FE650 in running year March. So at the moment the bike is 4 months old. It has only ~20h on the clock which was run to it during March and April. I bought the bike with full SM conversion kit - original HBG/KTM spare parts. This far everything was ok.
After running only a couple of hours and lubricating my chains I noticed that the rear rim is not straight (original Behr/HBG rim). Small twisting in horizontal and vertical direction. As I paid for a new SM wheel set I went to the dealer and asked for corrective action. In 1st maintenance it was not fixed. 2nd maintenance it was sent to local "specialist" who only scrathed the rim and didn't make it straight. This happened in end of April.
Finally at the end of May this rim was promised to be sent to the factory for quarantee checking.
Now after 6 weeks (1,5months) later I have received an answer that it will fall under the quarantee and it will be changed for a new. No idea when it will be done. Maybe for Christmas present? However I would like to run the bike during summer time - not only during the winter. Anybody knows if the KTM/HBG is ISO9001 certified?
I have sent a couple of direct e-mails to the factory also without receiving any feedback.
I would go for the Japanese bikes for now... These Austrians are just a waste of money and time. Can not recommend to anybody. Quality is the same as with beg 90's 2-strokes.
